Three Ways to Join Our Halloween Takeover for 2021

Because we can’t quite pack a room with over 400 neighbors and dozens of giant inflatables right now, we’re getting creative to keep the Halloween spirit alive in Skyway-West Hill.

To keep our volunteers and our neighbors safe, we’re offering THREE ways to celebrate Halloween safely this year.

WHCA Halloween Spirit Contest

Decorated your space? Carved a pumpkin? Dressed up? Show off your best Halloween 2021 photo by Saturday, October 30 at 5 p.m. for your chance to win a trophy and gift cards to local businesses worth up to $100!

Winners to be announced on October 31.

Free Cinema Pack Pick-Up

Drive or walk through the Skyway Outdoor Cinema lot across from Skyway Library (and behind 7-Eleven on Renton Ave S and 76th Ave S) to pick up your free Cinema Pack on Thursday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m. – just in time for the weekends’ streaming movie (see below!). Packed with microwavable popcorn, fistfuls of assorted candy, and some fun surprises, these packs are made for Cinema fans of all ages.

Do you have a costume you want to show off? Come down and get your free Cinema Pack, and then stick around and help wave to folks and guide them over to the pick-up site. Let’s line Renton Ave in Skyway with neighbors in costume, like our own stationary parade!

Skyway Virtual Cinema presents: Beetlejuice

Register now to get 72-hour streaming access to one of the greatest movies of all time, Beetlejuice! You’ll get an automated email with your free passphrase and instructions on how to access the movie in your browser. The link will be active from Friday, October 29 through Sunday, October 31.

A big thank you to our donors and also to our supporters who made this possible: King County Local Services’ Community Service Areas Grant Program, Motiv Real Estate Group, Skyway Grocery Outlet, and Beach Comber Sports Bar and Grill.

Like having a more engaged, informed and vibrant community? You can make a huge impact by joining your neighbors in giving $5 or more a month to the leanest, hardest working all-volunteer nonprofit in the neighborhood. Thank you for helping us get ready to do even more in 2020!
