Come join King County Parks and West Hill Action Mob for a day stewarding and restoring Skyway Park.
Skyway Park is located in the West Hill community, an unincorporated urban area on Lake Washington. There are three wetlands in the park that function as the headwaters of Taylor Creek a salmon-bearing stream that passes through Seattle’s Deadhorse Canyon and enters Lake Washington. Skyway Park is 23 acres and has baseball fields an informal football/soccer field a playground basketball and tennis courts.
The site address takes you to a house near the park entrance. Meeting location is near the covered picnic shelter – keep an eye out for the King County Volunteer signs.

So we paused for just a bit to take a look back at some of the most wonderful, surprising, and memorable moments of last year (in absolutely no particular order). How many do you remember?
Originally adopted in 1993 and incorporated into King County’s Comprehensive Plan a year later, the West Hill Community Plan has yet to be updated. But that all might change in June 28, 2019, when a new proposed plan is set to appear before the King County Council.
Just last year, Skyway welcomed its first full-service health clinic in decades: HealthPoint at the Renton Area Youth & Family Services‘ (RAYS) Cynthia A. Green Family Center, located at 12704 76th Avenue South. But many neighbors still don’t realize we have such a great resource right in our own backyard!
