Dozens of neighbors came out to our first Community Social of 2026 and made new connections, got a little competitive, slammed 20 large pizzas and Crazy Corn’s freshest aguas frescas, and made it a day to remember.

For 2025, we continued to help transform Skyway Park, get out the vote, keep community informed, and pulled off Skyway’s largest Halloween party in the middle of a fierce storm. And we did it all together, with the greatest neighbors around.

Despite 40-mph gusts and sideways rain, nearly 1,000 costumed characters descended on downtown Skyway for West Hill Community Association’s Halloween Takeover on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
It’s been a busy year preparing, supporting, and cheering on our neighbors to the polls – and we’re just getting started. Celebrate with us as we recap our successes, and mark your calendars as we look forward to what’s yet to come.
What a year! We brought movies to the park for the first time, took over multiple blocks with a Halloween festival for the second time, painted a mural, restored precious green space, helped get out the vote and vital information, and so much more. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights!

Skyway’s biggest Halloween event returned on Saturday, October 26, 2024. More than 800 neighbors braved the rain and enjoyed fun activities, attractions, and entertainment (and LOTS of treats) throughout downtown Skyway. From our epic block party to the terrifying haunted house hosted by The Tool Doctor in the abandoned Skyway Mart, we loved seeing y’all having fun in your amazing costumes.
