Getting There

We highly encourage you to walk, bike, or roll to the park if you’re able! But there are many other ways to get to Skyway Park as well:

Four Points of Access to the Park!

Main parking lot is reserved for those with accessibility needs and event vendors.

A. WEST SIDE: The RESERVED main parking lot off of S 120th Pl is managed by parking attendants and is reserved for those with accessibility needs and event vendors.

There is a bridge on the side and another entrance through the back of the Roman Casino parking lot.

B. NORTH SIDE: General parking is available in the Roman Casino lot off of Renton Ave S, you can access the park through the bridge entrance (72nd Ave S) or a gate in the back of the parking lot that will be open.

Power line hill off of Renton Ave S – it’s kinda steep!

C. EAST SIDE: Those who park along Renton Ave S and those on foot may choose to use the power line hill entrance off of Renton Ave S across from 75th Ave S. Please note that this is a bit of a steep climb.

There’s a paved trail leading into the park off S 125th St near Greentree Apartments.

D. SOUTH SIDE: Those parking along S 125th St or joining on foot may choose to use the paved path next to the tennis courts close to 70th Ave S.

Take Transit!

Remember, all youth 18 and under ride free on transit anywhere in the region! Check out the follow ways King County Metro can help you get to the park (and come meet their team at the event and grab some neat Metro swag).

Skyway Community Van

Contact coordinator Kahdijah Jackson if you’re interested in using Metro’s Skyway Community Van to get to Skyway Park! Rides are being organized now, and volunteer drivers are always needed if you’re interested.

Jordan Hoover, Community Engagement Planner at King County Metro, presents the new Metro Flex app on Zoom at our Spring 2023 State of the Hill community quarterly meeting.

Metro Flex

Metro Flex is your on-demand neighborhood transit service. With one simple app—and just a few taps—you can ride anywhere in the service area, all for the same cost as a bus trip. Metro Flex is convenient, fast, affordable transit at your fingertips. Metro Flex replaces Community Ride, Ride Pingo to Transit, and Via to Transit. Learn more about Metro Flex from our Spring 2023 State of the Hill community quarterly meeting.

If you require a wheelchair accessible vehicle, need other mobility assistance, or have trouble walking short distances, please indicate all needs within your Metro Flex profile. If you book rides over the phone, tell the customer service agent about your ride support needs as well.

Taking the Bus

Use King County Metro’s Trip Planner to plan your route! Take the 106 up Renton Avenue South and get off at the 74th Ave S stop to walk through the 72nd Ave S entrance to the park, near the Roman Casino parking lot and Peter Tran Auto Repair.
