Primary Election Day Voter Assistance Booth 2025
On August 5, 2025 we were on site to support some of the 1,200 neighbors who dropped their ballots off at the Skyway Library ballot box on Primary Election Day.
Four straight hours of ballot reprints, helpful info, swag, treats, and loud cheers. Thanks for voting!
National Voter Registration Day 2025
Tuesday, September 16 was National Voter Registration Day, “a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy”.
We posted up at Skyway Library for three hours to help folks check their registration status, update or get registered, and load up on treats and swag!

Skyway’s First-Ever King County Executive Candidate Debate
On Saturday, October 4, West Hill Community Association and South Seattle Emerald teamed up to co-host an opportunity for Skyway-West Hill and other South End communities to hear from both candidates for King County Executive: Claudia Balducci and Girmay Zahilay.

King County Elections Director Julie Wise Makes it Rain Voting Facts at our Fall Quarterly Community Meeting
If you wanna get HYYYPED about voting, you should check out King County Elections Director Julie Wise’s presentation at our October 2025 Community Quarterly Meeting. Learn some voting facts like why you should mail your ballot at least a week early (or else put it straight in a drop box), how you can watch every aspect of ballot counting go down and tour Elections HQ, and most importantly, who would win in a fight: a ballot drop box or a school bus.

General Election Day Voter Assistance Booth 2025
More than 2,000 neighbors dunked their ballots into the Skyway Library ballot drop box on Election Day (Tuesday, November 4), and we were right there to support. We reminded folks to vote, helped with reprints, and celebrated community for doing their civic duty.
Thank you to the Skyway Library for hosting and librarians for helping with reprints and all our wonderful volunteers: Rebecca, Jake, Hermon, Mary, and Miki who joined WHCA board members Devin, Malika, and Joel.
