On Friday, July 23, brand-new community message board kiosks will be unveiled. The kiosks have been requested by the community for over a decade. In 2020, as part of the second phase of the Skyway-West Hill Subarea Plan process, the King County Local Services’ Director’s Office partnered with the West Hill Community Association (WHCA), Renton Technical College (RTC), and King County Metro to make this request a reality.
The two kiosks will provide both neighborhood-identifying entryways, as well as a way for community members to share information about upcoming events, items for sale, or services. The kiosks are located at Campbell Hill Garden (64th Ave S and S 129th St/S Langston Road), and on Renton Ave S by the Skyway Library and Nevzat’s Espresso.
There will also be a community resource fair in the parking lot area in front of Holy Temple Evangelistic Center (near Nevzat’s Espresso) and is intended to inform Skyway-West Hill residents of summer events and programs for their community and to highlight the installation of the new kiosks.
Let’s get started using these new message boards by posting what we love most about the community. Submit your message here by 7/22 and we’ll print it and post it up for you!
